Joe Cain Day

Today was Joe Cain Day of Mardi Gras! We went to the IM Den Party this morning and then hurried home to change clothes to head downtown. Richard, Amy and Reed went with us. Downtown we met up with Troy and Lelia who rent a room at the Malaga Inn. This is a most desired spot because it is a hotel right on the parade route. (There is also a 10 year waiting list to rent one of these rooms ) It was nice to have a clean restroom to visit in between the parades! The weather was warm in the sun, but cool when the wind blew or when in the shade. Reed had the best time at his first Mardi Gras parade! By the end he would actually wave a little to the floats going by...Chris and I enjoyed being a part of this very important first in his life!
