Movin on Up...

Anna Katherine moved to POD 4 last night. That is big stuff in the NICU world. It's a room or "POD" where the babies are more stable. Nurse Wendy did give her a good hair wash before moving her. She also got to get out of the warmer and go into an isolette. It's just warmer in there with no wind whipping across a new, wet head. Chris got to hold her last night, and if you can't tell--both of them loved it. Kat fussed until we uncovered her hand so she could hold Chris's finger! Her hair isn't red...but isn't quite blond either? Who knows what she'll end up with. One thing is for sure-she has PLENTY of it! After Chris held her she went back in the isolette and under the bilirubin lights for jaundice. She will likely "be at the spa" like this for a few days. It doesn't bother her much. At least she is doing well eating...they plan on moving her from 6 cc to 10 cc of breast milk at the 11 pm feeding.
